OK, How accurate (or innaccurate) is this Vader Lid ?

I'm looking at getting a Vader lid but my funds are very limited.
I was thinking of getting a Rubies supreme for now but I found this on the bay.
It is fibreglass and only £99, How accurate or innacurate is it, how easy would it be to bring it up to a good standard ?

The dome is an MR recast too IMO. It's just a bad recast and the pic suffers from lens distortion.

I always thought Costumebase was good value for money but I never thought that they would resort to re-casting :eek

Well. I thought everything that wasn't a fabric part was recasted. They also have a clone helmet up I believe.

Ouch! you're better off with a Sgt Fang, but is it ESB or ROTJ you want?

actually, that looks exactly like the Northglass/Portumac ROTS lid that i have. if it is, then its not a direct recast, it was scrath built by Porty and NG.

Porty and NG split ways, and NG took those molds with him, i got one when he was selling them, but now NG has dropped off the face of the planet.

Made a lot of changes to the mask and dome (dome especially) if that's a Northglass/Portumac creation. Can't recall seeing one of their with a more accurate RotS dome.

ya might be right, i compared the pic to mine, and theres enough differences that i dont think its a NG/Porty. mine has the lower neck area a lil wider than the pic, and my dome is slightly different, mainly the slope of the flare, but mine looks the same in the main face part of it, and the masks top also has the square cutouts for the vents, which i installed a set of porty vents into it.

And I'd like to add that it seems to be a really bad copy. The price should also give an indication as to the quality of the work.

Although it is a distorted copy, there are too many things in the face that are similar like cheek angles, nose slots, eyebrow curvature, etc. to suggest it is sculpted from scratch.
