but those are the first ones to sell which are usually higher than the second batch of people trying to sell. Im sure the ones listed this week would sell less
I have actually seen just the opposite happen, eBay prices are slightly higher for the pre-sales and drop a little while the product is still in stock and you can just swing over to Matty and buy it, but as soon as it goes out of stock the prices start climbing... This was the trend I saw with the 12" GB figures, they held a $80ish price on the pre-order and a sub $100 price while they were in stock after they went out of stock they jumped to over $200... For the high in demand Egon he was demanding $250 for quite some time...
As for the profit margin the scalpers are looking for a quick flip, even at $10 profit if you flip 10 that is $100, for a 1 or 2 week investment that is a hell of a return at about 15%-20%... Most people keep their money in a savings account at what 1-2 % a year? And most scalpers will hold back on one or two and dump at the optimal price, even further increasing the profit...
It's certainly not a get rich quick scheme but it can be a darn good and nearly safe quick return on investment...
