Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Ladies and gentlemen...here is my MerrSonn Power5.

It´s still not finished, since it´s missing the coiled wire and MIDI plug, left side rear disc as well as the right side details. Anyway...I thought you´d appreciate some good ole´blaster galore instead of the 300th IronMan related thread :p

- Real MGC C96 (with some modifications to make it look closer to life firing C96)
- Aluminium imperial disc
- real vintage knobs and washers
- TomTit "catamaran" part
- Aluminium grills (BobaDept)
- Steel flashhider (machina artium)
- Aluminium bullbarrel & adapter (dmachinist)
- Aluminium barrel greeblies (dmachinist)

I chose to make a semi-idealized version with all grills present.

I LOVE the slight color variations of all parts :D

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Looks sweet. :cool

But - i remember the disc with the notch pointing down, is there a special reason why you did it that way? And what is the "catamaran"? :confused

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

nope...notch pointing upwards, I am sure on that.
You have the other MerrSonn in mind, without muzzle ;)

Catamaran greeblie is sitting on the silver slide, right before the bull barrel begins

I never checked anything between them - always thought they came out of the same mold. :$

Atm. i´m sitting in my office at the company, no access to my pic collection .... but i´m curious now, need to check that later at home. :)

It looks like a half of the part from the airplane kit that provided the grills?

Btw. found some time to check the round corners of the Hoth racket, if my assumption is right?

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Same mold, yes. But the greeblies were added later ;)

Yep, parts come from the TomTit airplane model

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Beautiful Work.

There is something about a blaster that is made from the real stuff that just makes it look heavy and dangerous... I love it.

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Man, I wish it was easier to get Denix Mausers in Canada.
MGC, good luck...

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Thanks gentlemen :)

Hopefully the pushbuttons will arrive tomorrow so I can finish it over the weekend. Still have to find a solution for this d*mn cable/ plug. I never thought I would be so hard to identify this :cry
