Obama to appear on episode of 'Mythbusters'

Other media outlets are reporting Obama wants them to bust "Archmedies Death Ray"


Too bad they've already busted that myth TWICE.
 
Really?! Is this what the President should be doing when we still have near-double digit joblessness? Can he at least pretend to be working, instead of touring around backyards and pretending like he's still on the campaign trail. For $500k a year, I expect him to showboat a little less and work a little harder.

I'm sorry, but it's ridiculous enough that he's coming on needlessly for a myth he can't possibly bring anything to, let alone for a revisit. (AKA not a new myth...for those unfamiliar with the show)

I haven't been this worried by Mythbusters since a producer encouraged the build team to electrocute Adam with their replica Ark of the Covenant.

I agree. This is a waste of cash and an episode.
 
Ten bucks says Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" won't be getting any such guest appearance on his show.
 
Remember George Bush Jr Spent 27% of his presidency on vacation, so the way I look at it. One day off wouldnt hurt

lol. I bet bush would have considering he did ranch work. I can't see Obama on dirty jobs either. That should be part of being elected for any office like president or congress: you do an episode of dirty jobs and mythbusters and survive.

he was the last president, so I looked up his vacation time to compare with obamas

Yeah but his vacations were probably cheaper in general, Oh let's fly the dogs in on a private jet. We all wish Carter took more vacation days. GAH, Politicians, a pox on them all. I wish there was a C-Span app that would make congress look like the Republic/Imperial Senate.

Did they bust it both times, or did they at least get a "plausible" one time?

Didn't they actually get something to smolder?

Do you think that with more time and a larger budget the Death Ray of Death is at least feasible?

I think alot of their "Busted's", are a result of time constraints and a lack of sufficient funding.
