hi all just been on the phone to a pal and his brother said this was the place to show my latest purchase ,cut a long story short ive just got my hands on the 2 surviving original chairs from the nubian royal cruiser used in the filming of episode 1 phantam menace ,these two seats have been in a barn since the filming ended the other seats were all crushed ,one of the seats still has some of the original seatbelt attached to the harness section at the back of the chair .here are some pics in the link of 1 of the chairs the other arrived yesterday and alfter a clean up was in good condition .heres the link ,will post more pics when i know how to lol ,coments welcome please ,any idea of value ?.The J-type 327 Nubian royal starship ,pilot and copilot chairs props from the movie

no certs for these chairs warlord ,im going to take loads more pics ,ive watched the movie and saved some screen shots ,to show folds creases ,i can even tell which of the chairs they are the padding ect is slightly differnt ,they came from a prop builder who kept them alfter the filming was done he was a carpenter on the set and his wife did the wigs /hair for the queen ect ,to make copies of these chairs would cost a fortune you would have to make molds for the seatbelt housing and also for the arms ect ,if you fancy checking them to the movie i would be happy to email pics for cross refernce thanks for the message granted certificates would be great .

hi hotfuzz ,i dont want to start stripping the seat down but there are some marks here and there theres sample written under 1 of the cusions on 1 of the chairs ,i will have a proper look but dont want to take them apart ,im going to take more pics of second chair when i bring my camera home tomorrow .1 chair i have id for sure in the film its the front left as you watch the film ,the 1 with anakin sat in it . the folds in the edge of the head cusion match perfectly .i only found out about these seats because my brother is the guys window cleaner so he showed him them ,anyway will check for more markings thanks for the website info mate .

I highly doubt it will say property of lucasfilm. Most items like this will match fairly easily with a screencap because of the cost of building it. If theres exposed wood etc your far more likely to find constructions notes etc.
Furniture has always been a kind of low end deal in the prop market due to shipping and somewhere to display it. Thankfully its a star wars piece...however not being original trilogy hurts it.
Still glad it exists. I hate to know any prop went in the garbage.....unless im next to the dumpster....laughs.

ok took pics of the two chairs together and also the foldings in the head rest cushion on the seat that anakin sits in .one chair has brown plastic tape on the bottom with the number 1 on it but theres no stamps ect .one cusion has number 4 underneath ,also theres a close up of the seatbelt section still on the seat ,thanks for the feeback all ,granted not as collectable as the props from the first films ,but i dont see many falcon seats out there ,and its cool to have collectable props you can sit on to watch the films or use in an office ect.heres a link www.therpf.com/members/ashtattoo/albums/nubian-royal-cruiser-original-cock-pit-seats/
