Non-Firing WWII 1911 replica pistol

Another vote for Collectors Armory.

I used to know the owner and they have been in business for years

I remember when they were on Slaters Lane in Alexandria. Went there once in '83, they had replicas stored in piles in wooden barrels on the sales floor. I was like a kid in a candy store :)

I am almost certain that it's possible to find a full metal airsoft replica with proper markings for less than 300$, probably less.
I just picked up a M&P9c that is virtually identical to the real thing, and it's a less common replica than a 1911...
few airsoft websites that could help :
ehobbyasia
Redwolf airsoft
WGC shop
RSOV
No replicas from those websites will have orange tips or something like that by the way.

If you're dead set on metal, Denix is only OK. I own a handful of denix replicas, mostly revolvers, but I have a luger p08, and I like it. I also have a bunch of MGC guns. some lugers, and some 1911's. But the 1911's I have are not complete. They're missing safeties and magazine releases, and mags.

If you want an MGC model, check ebay and gunbroker, and search MGC gun, or MGC 1911. They pop up as new old stock from time to time, and usually cost anywhere from $150 to $300 depending on condition. Parts are impossible to find, so don't break any of the parts or lose them!

Marushin, Tanaka, and probably a few other Japanese companies make replica 1911's that fire plug fire caps from reusable brass shells. Those are fun, and break down and operate very much like the real deal.

I own a Marushin plug firing cap 1911, which is plastic, but still really nice. It doesn't look half bad firing too.

I've also owned a bunch of blank firing 1911's and I have a springfield "loaded" 1911 too. I'm a bit of a 1911 fanatic.

Feel free to PM with specific questions. I've been collecting real and replica guns for a long time. Happy to help.
