Back To The Future 2 Tube Bag. $400usd includes shipping.
Hello RPF and particularly BTTF2 fans.
Introduction: As you (or may not) know, I have been building a huge "female" tooled vacuum former with the first project being the NIKE FOOTWEAR Tube Bag we see in Back To The Future Part 2. There was only ever one prop made for the film and all other bags since, have been fan made. Where I want mine to be different is that I mine will be made from thermoforming plastic under a vacuum, so the parts will be tough, water proof and very usable. I want this to be more than a fragile prop. If you can wear your MAGs, then you should be able to lug around your MAG bag as well.
Parts: The bag will comprised of a cylindrical body (4 parts) with 2 wrap around lids with recessed handles (6 parts) and 2 tapered end caps (2 parts).
Materials: With the exception of the two clear ends, all parts will be Thermo-formed Plastic. I am hoping to use 4.5mm Perspex for most of this project because it strong, colour fast and can be glued easily. After forming, it should still have a wall thickness of 3mm.
Size: Movie accurate 22" x 11".
Colour: Black with yellow decals and clear ends. (Pearl or frosted ends may be an option).
Weight: Unknown at this time.
Price: At this stage I guessimating this product to be about $500USD including shipping. A fair whack (like 50%) will be shipping due to the physical size.
Delivery Date: I am hoping to have the first few bags ready by the end of November. At this stage, I am planning on only doing 10 bags for international customers.
