New Superman Costume

Thought I'd share this. Hope it's in the right spot. This is the new Superman costume for the new movie.

I REALLY like it except for the shield. Never **** with the shield.

What's with the need for extremely textured fabric in these superhero films, too?

TEXTURED FABRIC MAKES ME SO MAD. I get that it's fancy and all alien but just make it too busy and distracting. the actor makes the suit not the other way around. that's my 1 cent.

looks like he borrow a costume from Asgard and painted it blue. :-/

I like it... Kinda. It's too rubbery looking, and the shield is the old Earth 2 Kal-L old man shield. I wish they wouldn't have changed the shield...

It used to be that you had to wait about 40 years to remake a movie. Then it was about 20. Now you're lucky if it makes it to 5 years.

LOL wrong universe. Superman is DC not Marvel.

On topic I like it for the most part just not sure why the texture. But it doesn't bother me that much, much better than the Reeves suit IMO.

Not a fan of the texture either. But, then again, maybe his suit is now made out of carbon fiber.

I mean, this is just one pic, that is obviously heavy cg. I might wait a bit to see more before I love or hate it. BUT I'm not excited thus far. I mean, I'll buy that it's kryptonian material and all that jazz (even tho Ma Kent makes a better suit). So we'll see.

It would be nice if DC for once released a costume that got the fans as excited as when Marvel does it for their movies.

Don't really care much for Zach Snyder films The costume looks ok, has kind of a retro feel to it. But what the hell do I know, I'm not a Superman fan hehe.

I do like the cape though, however it is a bit odd how rubbery/leathery it appears. Just too used too seeing the cloth like textures.

I'm going to hold my judgement till I see more pictures. I really loved the Returns suit...So it's going to be hard to beat. He does not look very Superman-like to me either...So we'll see...

The 'S' Sheild looks like an homage to the old Charles Fleicher cartoons. From what I can tell, I like it better than the "Returns' suit. SR's version seemed too tight and looked like it was choking Routh's neck--even made me uncomfortable looking at it. SR “S” was too small making Rouths' body frame appear smaller. With Cavil's seriously square jaw, and his physique being bigger, he comes across more of a chiseled superhero than Super Boyish.
At least, that's what I gather from this pic--once I see more of it, I'll make a better judgement of it overall.

I want to see in better lighting in a more standard 'hero' pose. To me, Supes is the ultimate Boy Scout and supposed to be the symbol of optimism and hope, the polar opposite of the Batman character. I think the colors should be closer the brighter primary colors there were in Reeve's costume. In this image, the colors look very muted, but hard to tell with the lighting. The cape looks like it weighs a ton. I can overlook the texture stuff if the colors were a bit more 'traditional'.

The actor does not fit the role in any way, shape, or form. Didn't mind Abrams' Trek adding fine patterns to the Trek uniforms, but I don't think this suit works. Returns suit was better, although I did not like the maroon color replacing the red...

Don't think this one is gonna work at all...

I dig the pose and the background, but I'm not crazy about the texture of the suit. Why is it that film makers insist on having all superhero films use the same materials of their costumes? It works for some, but DEFINITELY NOT for Superman. As far as the actor goes, he looks more like a villain here than a hero. But it may grow on me, and this is really only one shot. Though I love the way the cape is pleated and attached to the suit, that looks pretty awesome!
