New Series Cyberman Pepakura files

Pepakura is killing me. I don't have the time to make a full Cyberman costume, but I really can't stop myself now.

It's been my goal to make one for a while now. I have been planning to get the ball rolling this summer; I may just have to give this pepakura thing a try and see if the results are satisfactory.

The biggest thing that concerns me right now is the scaling. I'm not quite sure how to go about it. The creator of the files appears to be 5'11, and I am 6'2. Other than that, I'm a little at a loss. The tutorial on the site is specific to Halo armor. Any suggestions?

Yes. Just apply the instructions to this pep file. :lol

Seriously, it´s really easy, and if you are not sure you have to jump the shark, build a piece to try it on and see if you have to resize anything.

Why he made the front and back of the helmet, chest, etc. separate pieces I can't understand at all. In my experience you have to scale each piece individually to make them fit your body properly and I have no idea how you're supposed to get those pieces scaled to match perfectly. It's hard enough on normal pieces to scale them to fit your body, usually takes me at least 3 attempts of each piece to get them right. That's the only thing really stopping me. That and the hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars it would cost to mold all the pieces to make them in cold cast aluminum.

Ya the whole three piece helmet is really wacky but on the plus side if you want to just fold the ear pods out you could have a rocking pair of headphones!

:confusedNo more love for sculptural art anymore?....:cry
Soon we will se Paper statues sculptures in our parks :D haha ... Damn this is killing sculptors. ;) Nhaa Not really.. I still belive sculpting aquires the best ressult. But i seen some PRETTY AMAZING Pep work latly on variouse props and i am MOST IMPRESSED.

When it comes down to it the pep model is just a base if you want to make it truly 100% accurate. There's still a LOT of detail work that has to be done with bondo, etc.

I guess the part where it says "Take your height and divide by 86" is what's throwing me off. It seems to me the measurement for a cyberman would be different for the measurement for a Master Chief. Thus, the number would be different... wouldn't it? :)

Ah well, you are correct. I should just take the plunge and build it, I just like to fully understand a process before I begin. :) Character flaw!

(I should add that I am inspired greatly by Finhead's Iron Man build, that's nothing short of amazing. I can only hope that I can do a job half as good in twice the amount of time! :lol)

Very, very nice.
I'd love to try my hand at pepakura.
What type of paper do people use? Is it just normal printer paper or some special?

I use card stock paper when I do my builds im really not sure what thickness it is but it seems to work out pretty nice.

110 pound card stock for me. I used to use 60 something pound and when I switched I was amazed by the difference it made.

Hi all I am new here.
just want to say I am glad you liked the files that I found I am unheared from 405th.
I would have posted them here if I could.
I am not asking for a thank you.
but please don't forget to say thank you to the people that did all the work movieman ( mainly movieman with out him there would be know files ) and Wrising for the new unfold style, Thank you again
I hope I haven't upset any one and hope to help you all find info as much as I do them just like this.

message from movieman.

this will help any one scaling there armor.

I am away on location working for a while now, can only access this on my PDA , will continue to finish creating other 3d cyberman parts and exploding them when I get back home. thank the guy who is smoothing out my explodes, he is doing a good job. Notice people struggling with cyberman scaling.... I set scale to 10.... this will fit someone who is between 5 ft 8 inche to a 6 ft 2 inch person with a chest size of between 40 to 46 inch chest, the helmet is set to the scale of the toy version and also the correct size for the screen worn versions. Did it in 3 part for ease of construct in card, ears will simply slot on to rest of the completed helmet.

Geez I would love to try this, I have never pep'd before and it looks a bit dauting to me, the quality of the pep looks good and the chest armor rocks...I may still try I would love to see a full suit done this way.

A little help so that people can understand how pepakura designer measures things.
It the fartest away points of Height Width and Depth that are measured.
