New RPF Sites Issues - CLOSED (please search for or start a thread for new issues)

Already tried all the normal troubleshooting stuff. It's like this across Firefox 20, IE9, and Google Chrome on Windows 7.

Never noticed it during private testing and it only seemed to show up (or at least caught my eye) within the past week or so.

Edit: JD, not sure about the fonts, but it's possible Art is still tweaking things.

Small nit-pick / request.

When you press the Image button and it brings up the dialog, you can select the "From URL" to paste a URL. However, the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" option is ticked by default, and I would imagine that kind of defeats the purpose of linking to an existing image.

Would it be possible to have this box unmarked as default, and anyone who wants to use it to upload from a URL can turn it on? Uploading from URL is a nice feature, but I don't think it should be standard.
 
No idea why but sometimes when I edit the return key wont work to start a new line. Its happened on tapatalk on phone and via site on pc.

While this isn't something we set by default, it is something we actually DO want to leave as the default. Why? We have years and years of threads with no images because the images weren't stored locally and are now lost forever. :(

Is there a workaround on the pic issue though? Katsu posted some really good pics of his Ship and I wanted to discuss one in particular but I am not sure how to make my reply show just that one picture so everyone in the thread and Katsu would know what I was referring to. Do I edit the link for the picture I want to show?
 
When using tapatslk and i go to emoticons the next option is to eithrt post or cancel d post. Any way to be able to continue typing ?

Typing on a 2" screen. Spelling mistakes are not indicative of IQ or alcohol intake levels.


Back on pc. Forget this post, just figured it out. There's a keyboard icon next to the emoticon icon that takes you back to continue typing :D

(I have a new toy btw :lol)



Edit 2 - There is no LOL emoticon on the tapatalk options :facepalm

Quote the post and edit the quote to only have the pic you want to discuss, just as I edited your message to get rid of the Gotcha Sir...

You just need to figure out what pic you want to leave in and which ones to remove.
 
Hey Art? I just noticed something here. When you add the Prefixes to the thread titles, there is no delineation where the Prefix ends and the Title begins on threads that have not been read or have new replies. Is there something that can be done about that? Perhaps make the prefixes come out in italics (like the Announcement prefix) or add a colon at the end...
 
In tapatalk the smiley doesnt work. Getting this :beer: (beer).
Have to type colon bracket to get it.

Reply posts are not always posting which is VERY annoying when it was a long reply. Also when hitting the post reply button on the quick reply box IE asks if I really want to leave the page??? I liked the old way when you clicked reply it just popped up a reply screen.
 
I have my limits regarding phone sizes. The Note seems to be a sweet balance between size & legibility.

I refuse to buy something that would make me feel I'm answering a call with a ghetto blaster :lol

The notification page showing the listings of posts you were quoted in is a bit of a mess.

Also the hover on the notification on top of every page could use a little contrast.
