So has a decision been made yet about what's going to be done with links? It's getting very frustrating to try and determine what's a link and what's just text.

The links in content is going to have the underline. Bear with us. I know it is annoying. The problem is, that the main stylevar for text decorations effects the whole site, so we are having to whittle it down to just the posts.

Are the colours for this hover menu going to be changed? I don't know if it's just me, but this is what it looks like.

Many LIKES systems include a DISLIKE feature. After a good bit of discussion and careful consideration, I dont' think we would be willing to implement a dislikes system as it would only service to divide and create contention. Sadly, as far as this community has come, there are still some ugly little clicques here, and I could see them tooling around disliking all the posts from people they don't like, not due to content, but due to their dislike of the person.
I couldn't agree more with this decision. For the most part, the RPF is (and should be) a place to admire, support, and provide assistance for (when possible) the work and passion the members put into their various projects, i.e. a positive atmosphere. No good can come from adding something as negative as a dislike feature; Art and the other moderators would only have to don their referee shirts far more often.

I think it fair to add that it is not limited to the RPF, and that such situations exist even on My Little Pony & Hello Kitty forums ..... well, anywhere where those nasty things called humans are involved in some way

I just checked the junkyard for some of my older threads I started myself and some seem to be deleted. is this because of the board upgrade or some kind of an "automatic feature" :) ?? thanks

Stefan Jones, 90 days of inactivity in the Junkyard and your threads get wiped out. This isn't automatic, but soon will be.

Thank you both for the fast reply. and with your answers I found a new feature ( at least for me... ): the You have been quoted / mentioned at the RPF - function.
God, I love this place :D

Just getting started with that feature.

Will it eventually show up as a subset of the Notifications tab?

I've seen this feature before on other forums, and it is quite useful.

This shows all new posts since your last visit. It's the "New Posts" link in the top navigation bar. You're welcome.

Yes, I've seen that.
No, it's not what I was talking about, and no, it doesn't take the place of what I was talking about. Thanks ever so much.

Maybe if I was able to go into a forum, 'Junkyard' for instance, select 'New Posts' and ONLY be shown new posts in the 'Junkyard' since my last visit, that would be better than what we used to have, and I would be grateful. But 'New Posts' presently displays every single thread in every forum on this site. Today, it gave me sixty pages to wade through.

I just was to see that I last logged in on, let's say 4/26/2013 at 9:17am, and than as I scan through a forum today, I know that I needn't worry about scanning anything posted before that.

Must... implement.... LIKES... system!

Alright, I'm pissed now, so I'm going to go cool off somewhere else. Sorry to bother you.
