Hey, that is cool!

On the topic of boards, I'm currently trying secure a vintage Lance Mountain deck.

I guess I should say Lance Mountain's vintage deck... 'cos that's what it is! The board that was used by Lance on a [Bones Brigade] tour of N.Z. back in '89. :cool

Cool! I just joined a skate forum and it's mainly about vintage decks. I never knew they went for so much money!

Here's my most recent colored pencil I've done. This started as just a "hey, this looks like fun", so it wasn't on the paper I usually use, but for a fun side project it turned out okay.

I've done some Batman, Arnold from Predator I think, and other stuff. Portraits are my favorite, and I mainly do pencil and colored pencil.

Amazing art on the boards, Franz. And on the Indy colored pencil, Vaderbreath. I did a colored pencil back in high school (waaaaaaaay back in 82) of a cute girl that was at my school, and have always liked colored pencil art. Hell of a job on that! :thumbsup

In case anyone's interested, this was done with Prismacolors on pastel paper. The paper was a bit too textured, but I hadn't planned on doing this drawing in the first place, so that's what I was stuck with. Ah well.

re: New RPF "artwork" thread

I think the texture adds to it. Looks great! :thumbsup

vaderbreath - don't sell yourself short. That portrait is amazing.

Here's my art talent...be amazed! :lol

I was bored at work doodling and wondering if my new pipe was in the mail.. I have not artistic ability what-so-ever.

I've seen that before..... yes, it was in "Smokers of the lost pipe!" Didn't Indy say "That's the pipe of a carpenter" when he found it amidst other, fancier pipes?"

Yeah that's bizarre. I have my original 1986 Vision Mark Gonzales Pro Model deck with Tracker Ultralite trucks with coper guards, Slimeballs wheels, and Schmitt Stix rails with mini rails, and I am constantly offered ridiculous amounts of money for that board.

I also have a brand new twin of the same board, which I made for my son... started collecting parts for it when he was born, when I came across a NOS deck still in shrinkwrap at a flea market. Just gave it to him a few months ago - he loves it!

re: New RPF "artwork" thread

Vaderbreath's Indy is simply amazing. I've always been impressed with people's ability to capture someone in a portrait that well.

Very nicely done.
