new robocop suit opinion *spoiler*

Search your feelings, you will know it to be true!

I seriously see him just like the Ninja in MGS.

i'm trying to figure out how they'd fit more than one armor upgrade into the movie. I could see this as being in a lab testing things and then give him his better body but other than that i can't see it. Sounds like a ploy to sell action figures.

Look!! It's Robo-Maul:

And the police car:

/\ It was at that moment, they realized there were cameras in the treelines screaming in agony. They had to cover it so they internet didn't implode from the suckfest that would be coming.

Oh man, what If the human hand is part of the design? Like he isn't just missing a glove, it's a part of his human body that wasn't destroyed.......that would REALLY suck.

I think it is, but as others have said it's likely a progression and not the "final suit". I'm holding out hope that the final suit it much closer to what we would expect out of Robocop.

Maybe he will end up having some heavy duty armor added on more in tune with what the original had. I think that could be a cool upgrade to do as the story progresses.

And the leg holster better freaking be there!

I'm not going to judge it until I see it in action. Whenever we see things for the first time a year before a movie comes out, we all bash it, and it usually turns out to be awesome... for example, the Tumbler from Batman Begins. When they first showed it, I was like, god that's horrible, but when I saw it on film, I loved it. Let Hollywood do their magic before we judge it.

i loved the tumbler from first seeing it to now

hated the batpod from first pictures to now

hated caps uniform in the avengers from first pics till now

the list goes on and on
i generally stick with my oppinions. this looks cool but not for robocop. also, the car looks like a pimped honda civic.

For me, it all comes down to the title. Robocop. It's ridiculous and cheesy.

The original costume is like that, too. Don't get me wrong. I *LOVE* it. The thing is, it was designed to be a bit ridiculous. That's the point. You have the movie with an absurd title and an absurd looking main character -- and it turns out to sideswipe you with a pretty emotionally brutal story under the satire.

The more I hear about this reboot, the more I think it's going to miss that point entirely.

I'm wondering if they are going to go with a "man in a suit" approach story-wise, rather than the classic 80s version where he's 99.9% machine.
