new robocop suit opinion *spoiler*

Re: new robocop suit opinion

If it was in a Mass Effect game, Id like it. In a Robocop movie, not so much...

Re: new robocop suit opinion

The suit in itself is not bad, but there is nothing about it that says "Robocop".

Actually, it looks a lot like the Crysis suit.

The problem I have with it, and i'm not even a Robocop fan, is that as others have noted, it doesn't look like a robot.

I'd believe a cop/person in body armor or a miliary suit, but that's about it.

It should not look like a suit you can come home at the end of the day and just take off and throw on the foot of the bed. It should look like a robot - it's built - and that's the way it is, you can't remove it. I mean, it's right there in the name: Robocop. Let's break it down: Robocop, robo-cop, robotic police officer.

I suppose it could be an in between suit, however, an in between suit should look ROUGHER, less refined, and most likely more bulky than the final incarnation.

Why oh why did they have to reinvent this so ... so .... so.... wrong (?)

Take Dredd.

Comic to Stallone, rather nicely done.

Then Stallone to the current one, again, rather nicely done.

The essence is still there despite the makeovers.

This Robocop is just way too chalk and cheese :(

Re: new robocop suit opinion

It looks like a guy in a suit of body armor, not a cyborg. It Sucks, it 's boring, unremarkable, just like this rehash is going to be.

Re: new robocop suit opinion

even the concept artwork wasn't much better

How would anyone be able to move in armor designed like THIS? Whoever designed this has no freaking concept of how to create workable armor to allows motion and movement. How will he move his shoulders? How will he bend his knees? How will he move his feet? How will he turn his torso? The whole thing is locked in place - no way in hell you could move in that thing. Bendable armor that is bulletproof is just retarded. :facepalm

Re: new robocop suit opinion

I bet his knees look like action figure knees where the armor doesn't cover them when they bend so you have uncovered areas of the body. This movie wants to be batman and iron man and totally lost the heart and soul of the series. It'll last 2 weeks in the theater like most of the turds do and be on dvd in 3 months.

Re: new robocop suit opinion

If that's the police armor, that's pretty cool. I can see them updating/upgrading it, and having it be closer to the actual robocop suit we know and love.

If that's the final robocop design, it sucks.

Re: new robocop suit opinion

maybe they'll surprise us and not have a suckfest, I mean Dredd looked like a dud for a while too.

Re: new robocop suit opinion

Horrible! THe original Robo Cop looked like a Robotic Cop. This is just a guy in armor. And his chest, what is going on with that?

Re: new robocop suit opinion

$5 says he does martial arts and jumps around like some super powered ninja.

It's funny how people were complaining about Michael Bay "raping their childhood" with transformers. That obviously wasn't the case for me. But, seeing that suit and thinking of the general idea of remaking Robocop, is at least "molesting my childhood", haha!

Horrible, even the head is horrible. "There's a new guy in town, his name is Batman"...oh wait, that's not the right quote from the Robocop movie...

Now that someone mentioned it he does kinda look like a rejected Cyborg Ninja from Metal Gear Solid.
