Those radar men from the moon helmets are cool. As a kid I always wanted some thing like that. I had to settle for those old cardboard ice cream drums made into a helmet with saran wrap as the face shield.

Mercury!
Your not the only one who used the cardboard technique.

Its been awhile since I watched Conan The Barbarian, but there's something odd looking about that Thulsa Doom helmet.

i emailed them to see who was the sculptor and they said they didnt have any information on who did it lol
:lol:lol:lol <cough> RECAST <cough> How can you sell something THAT specialized in this community and not know the sculptor? Sounds fishy to me!

Is it me or does their Kurgan helmet look very different from IAL's? It's either a perspective thing or a totally different helmet. The eye sockets are a totally different shape, the teeth are a different shape and placed differently, the band going around the back of the head is thinner etc etc.

I know how much people around here love to cry "recast!" and yeah, the timing is as fishy as MiM's reputation but until someone compares an actual MiM helmet to one of IAL's, they look totally different to me.

I agree, in those two pics they do look different. IAL's looks way better than MiM's but the angles are also different so it's hard to be certain.

yah for sure lots of differances, i dont think AT ALL that its the same helmet, and i do believe that the MIM helmet is going to be very small. like a ball cap lol... so please dont get me wrong and thankls to everyone who like what i make and sell better! wait till the armor is done :)

It definately looks different, especially the eye shape.

How can they not know who did it when they state that the helmets are created at the time of ordering and finished by hand?

Aren't MIM are just the retailers?

Ok, I did some digging in my computer file archives and found an old Bronze Armory Catalog in PDF format. These images are straight from BA catalog just sized down to be more web friendly. So this should satisfy the origins question. Considering the BA's history, I still wouldn't touch the helms.
