Also interesting in that short shot is that the lower quad cannon seems to be missing... probably because the model was sitting on a post through the cannon in this shot and the cannon was removed for the post.

Speaking of finding new on the movies...I was looking at some screencaps and I notice this. The scene where the Falcon just exited Hyperdrive on the way to Alderan
See photos..

See how the Exhaust Light is not centered to the model's exhaust...Hahaha.....its the official rear end of the five footer....LOL!!!

No No No you guys are all wrong! Since the Falcon was traveling faster than the speed of light when they hit the brakes the light finally caught up with ship so quickly that it actually over shot it for a brief second. See the ILM guys thought of EVERYTHING! Anyways, just messing around! LOL

Brilliant!

Never noticed all this before,....I wonder when it got flipped,.....they did use the 5 footer for the shot of the dish getting snapped of by Lando,.....????

...anyway, I had a look at old photos of the front of the dish from Star Wars,...(ANH),.....and recently:

Yes that image shows the dish flipped... the top left beam has a signature on it. I think that may be why it keeps getting flipped, to hide it

Finally got a Hasbro :) This thing is huge! Jaitea's comparison photo of the Hero with the 5-footer convinced me to pick one up :) . The proportions look so right. I wanted to take a photo comparing it to the Legacy (amazingly, the hulls are almost the same size but the mandibles on this one are shorter and of the right length) My Legacy Falcon's is in a sorry state, though -- just not fit to be in front of a camera. Contrasted with a 1/144:

Did a light and stand/base test, light conditions are really bad as its 22:00 over here in Germany. Will get the cockpit assembled in the morning and then I only have the figures left to paint, left that to the end for some reason.

Simply awesome! Good work Captain!!

By the way, I've just finished designing the boarding ramp of the Hasbro.

I've designed the ramp, the hydraulics and the part where the ramp attaches to the hull. Cut and plug.

I think that the result is quite good.

You will need miniature hinges to attach the ramp to the hull -under the ramp-.

Working now on the quad dish... Thanks to Jaitea now I've the information of the back side!!!
