Need your help identifying this prop #2

Welcome to the 2nd version of "Identify this Prop". We got this off of a prop master's truck when cleaning it out for him. From trash to RPF.

what is this from? we haven't a clue.

Like I said in the first version, I am still working on getting some kind of gift for those that identify correctly. For now bragging rights will have to do.

Again we ask for a screen cap if anyone can get it. It appears to be made of red wax. However I am told there was also a mold with this item. So either this could have been a product of the mold or the master.

It looks like one of the wax "voodoo" dolls from the recent "Night Stalker" remake series. The wax was supposed to be impregnated with a manufactured virus. A person who touched one would, within a few minutes, spontaneously combust!

The episode was titled "The Burning Man"

Someone emailed me and decided not to post saying they were thinking it was from "Lost". I've not seen the show since first season so I don't know.

i was thinking that exact same thing... but i just popped in the night stalker dvds... the burning man was only about 2 inches tall... looks almost the same though. maybe a large scale prototype?

It is probably the burning man used for the close up burning/melting shots. I won't have access to my DVDs for a couple of days, but I am pretty sure there is a shot of it with the face melted like that.

You could very well be right. I looked at the episode, and the statue seems to be identical, except for the size. The ones shown in the episode are 2 1/2 inches tall, this one is bigger, but it could be a close-up. My frame-grab isn't working right now, so I'll try it in a different computer and post it then.
