Need to find: Acrylic laser cutter and laser engraver

I have a little project I have been working on that I need to find someone who can laser cut some clear acrylic and black acrylic cards. I would just need a few pieces made from AI files. The requirements I have would be a fairly quick turn around time and somewhat reasonably priced.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks,

Bryan

hey

my local guy does laser engraving and laser cutting. the max thickness is about 3/8th inch. dunno how much it would run, but if you can save the files as a CDR (corel draw) and email em to me, I can email them to him and see what he says.

Laser cutting and engraving gets great results. Here is are the results of a small project I did recently using AI. The lettering can be lasered in any font.

I also drew up and laser cut the clear parts and a few others on my proton pack. Its wonderful working at a place where you can laser it out yourself.

Here is a picture from just yesterday for my current project. Yes a poopy picture but it gets the idea across of how the parts look after just being cut. The acrylic has its protective paper on it while cut and is later peeled off. It takes the laser about 30 seconds (at the most)to cut all this.

Steve, some nice work there. As a former proton pack builder, I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into your pack.

I definitely like the finish of a laser.

Thanks for all of the help guys, looks like I need to drop Tom a line or two.

I drew up the file for the routered motherboard in AI as well.

Here is another example of lasery stuff.

The vent holes on the gun are lasered out as are parts on the switch box on the left.

And lets see the completed pack for the heck of it. Best part was that all this plastic was all brand new left over scrap from a bigger project. Did not cost me a dime since they were not going to save it. They had some big chunky pieces as you can see by the size of some of these pack parts.

and of course when you make laser cut parts you can make mold and make copies in resin like this.
Mmm...cripsy.

The INGSOC pins noted earlier are made the same way with an acrylic master and a resin copies.

Almost forgot this. Something a little different than what we see here.

Here is picture of a house that I found on the web.

Again using the AI here is a model all laser cut. Some of the proportions are off but for something made from just that one picture it's not too bad. Also think the pic below is not taken at the same angle.
Still have to put the railings on the second floor cuz the teeny little people keep falling off. :cry Fortunately there is a 3 car garage to hide their bodies in.
