Need History of Steven Spielberg Taken Artifact See Pics inside

I recently won an auction on Ebay for the
Steven Spielberg Taken DVD set and the alien artifact
that came with the set when it first came out.

I also bought a Alien artifact from a board member (Phil S.)
several years ago. This was a resin artifact no plating or paint
Now the alien artifact that came with the DVD set is a lot smaller

Which one is the correct size, the detail of the alien lettering on the small
metal one is fantastic, and the detail on the resin one can hardly be seen
on one side because it is very shallow.


Here are some pics of both.

Now I am not bashing the one I got from Phil, I am just looking for a little
bit of history on this prop. Here are some pics I tried to take the pics of the same side of each artifact.

Hmmmm, I have the dvd version, and one from a board member and they are roughly the same size :confused

I seen a pic of the Artifact that came in the press kit
and that one seems to be the same size/shape as the resin one I got from Phil
measuring about 12 inches long made of metal.
I was told that the smaller metal one in my pics
was packaged with the DVD set, but I have no way to confirm that.
