Hi,

I need help from a US buddy. I wish to purchase an item from a US Ebay member who won't ship to the UK. If anyone is willing to be a shipping shipping intermediary, I would be very greatful :) Just need an address to ship to and I get going. Obviously any expenses to ship the item to me will be refunded, and I will return the favour at any time. The item a pair of resin prop 'sci-fi guns. Thanks in advance.

Simon

Hi Simon,

I am from the UK but have a tried and trusted friend in the US who I get to ship me stuff once in a while. He isn't a prop guy we are record collectors but he could probably help you out if you are desperate :)

What part of the US are the items coming from my friend is in California.

PM me if you think I can help you.

Cheers Chris.

Chris, PM sent :)

Is the seller not wishing to ship to the Uk because of gun replica laws or because he doesen't wish to deal with international bidders?
If its the later reason I suppose you tried explaining you are a legitimate purchaser and mentioned some people that you bought from or sold to in the past? Often sellers will change their mind when presented with such information and double shipping an item can be avoided. If not you seem to have a backup plan.

Yeah, I have contacted him to request that he ship direct to me. I also filled him in on the background of the item he is selling, of which he seems quite ignorant (knows the show, but doesn't know which episode or character. He also has it painted all wrong, so I told him that might limited his chances (the price is quite high for items that will need quitea bit of work.)

Waiting to hear back.

If he doesn't bite I need a backup. The item is on buy-it-now, so I don't want to hang on it too long.

Hey guys,

Thanks to all of you for your kind offers to help :) Turns out the seller was willing to ship to the UK after after all.

If ever any of you fellas need a similar favour, drop me a PM and I'll be happy to help.

Cheers,

Simon

Birdie glad its going to work out for you. These types of issues do popup from time to time. Like when I had to buy something from a foreign country that did not support paypal. Ultimately just sent US currency to Portugal rather than go get a specialized money order. I got the item too.
