Need advice on how to make a WORKING GBII Slime Blower

I'm toying with making a GBII Slime Blower for this year's Halloween, and if possible I'd like to make it functional. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on how to achieve this.

My own idea was to fill a fire extinguisher and hide it in the main tank (the grey one), the problem there is it would not be accessible and pf course the fire extinguisher would be triggered by squeezing its handle. I thought about having that handle permanently squeezed together but then fitting a manual release valve further at the end of the hose, but I've been told that won't work and could in fact cause a pressure build up that would blow up the extinguisher. So, anyone got any bright ideas? Incidentally I may have sourced a large, water extinguisher locally for a fiver, so if anyone has an idea of how I can still go the extinguisher route and alter it to the flow is controlled further down the hose, that would be a help

If I was you I would avoid this at all cost! You may save a little but fire extinguishers are very high pressure and i would not like to mess with one then strap it to mu back!

I think your best bet is to get a back mounted chemical spray bottle, that has not been used, and go from there. You can pressurise them yourself to a suitable level. The big advantage of this is that many are triggered from the nozzel end. You can also often adjust the spray pattern size to suite. On a final note by using one of these you can choose what you spray at someone with ease thus making sue it is an accurate colour, does not stain and non toxic!

maybe you could concel something like this into the main tank:

with a different nozzle you should be able to spray out a somewhat thicker liquid.

Good luck.

ive suggested this before...it could work with some modifications.

possibly remove the storage tank to reduce size and use with this backpack?

Picked up a pressure sprayer from Lidl today for £9.99, 5 litre tank and roughtly 2.5bar pressure. I had discounted these manual hand pump ones because, having never used one before, I thought you had to pump them up after a few squirts, and keep doing it. BUT this thing empties the tank with only one initial pumping. The spray power is not quite as spectacular as I hoped for and that's just with water, don't quite know what to do for a thicker liquid.

Still haven't ruled out a fire extinguisher mod

Instead of functionally blowing viscous slime...have you thought of the simple idea of just modding the gun to load and fire silly string? Not the same effect as the movie, of course, but it's party safe....

Going to try the fire extinguisher route as I have just collected a 9ltr water extinguisher; it's the one I mentioned earlier in the thread, but the guy just let me have it for nothing because he wanted rid of it and was going to take it to a scrap yard otherwise.

Have cut the motherboard, and have cut the side tanks from some 2ltr coke bottles. Also have two spotlights to go on the top of the side tanks. Next week I'm going to buy a big cylindrical bin to use as the main tank and to contain the fire extinguisher.

Did consider that, but you never know when the opportunity to spray actual 'slime' will present itself, and if it does then I'll look badass :D apart from anything though the slime might serve a defensive purpose too; last year a bunch of drunk students had seen me walking down the street and ran to catch up with me, then one of them jumped onto my back, ONTO my Proton Pack. I was hoping the ******* would put his eye out in the ion arm but no such luck. Amazingly the pack stayed intact, even my Pringles can N Filter stayed put, all that broke was the banjo fittings and red tube on the gun. I almost clobbered the guy with my gun (solid resin) and though better of it. So the way I see it, if someone hassles me, I can turn around and spray the ****er with slime :D that'll send them packing

I'd probably go the silly string route, people spend a lot of money on costumes and if you spray green slime all over somebody that just dropped a couple hundred bucks (or worse yet rented a more expensive costume) it could cause problems. If it were me I'd go for a multi-silly string setup somehow inside the main barrel of the blaster part of the pack. Using those miniature silly string cans they made for the spider-man web blaster toys you could mount say six of those inside the barrell with a wooden circle mounted to an electric motor. Then you figure out some sort of triger system to make them spin and release webbing which should be fairly easy, or even just leave them spinning all the time and only use the trigger for firing the silly string. Either way you get 2 benefits (1) no staining and (2) you'd get a really cool spinning effect on the way out of the barrel. Kind of a silly string gatling gun. Hell you could probably get a bunch of cans of regular green silly string if you oversized the barrel.
