Planning on making some molds soon to begin casting parts for my falcon build.
But i'm very green in the casting trade:unsure

Way back when...when the RPF was a group on AOL.

I offered a set of castings...that were off all the known (known at the time) model parts for the xwing.
Most of us, were converting MAXI BRUTES.
So its been done.
Xwing really didnt have that many parts.


Now, doing something like that for the falcon...
Just TOO many parts. Its too tedious, and would be too expensive.

Just dont have the time or the money to make molds of everything, AND cast parts.

How many would ya sell? one? two? 5 sets? for how much?
Whats fair? Charge too much, you risk getting accused of price gouging, and negatively affect your sales, charge too little and you are losing money, not mentioning taking time away from your other projects, obligations, or family time.

Two type of people when it comes to producing casted parts.
Those that understand the above, and those that are about to.


Someone told me once, the GARAGE kit industry is fun, but in the long run, financially, you break even, IF you are lucky.

Thats why no one ever produces casted parts for a significantly long time.
No matter what the subject.
