Need a bit of help with sintra

Hi i just bought some sintra for my armour and it looks like great stuff !. The only problem is that i can't bend it!. I have tried my heatgun for 10 minutes on 1 spot and when i bend it , it either leaves a huge crease or snaps and still feels quite resistant and doesn't look soft!.
I'm kinda unsure what to do and I've paid 40 quid for this stuff (about $80) and i don't want to waste it all so before i use any more i would appreciate some help.

Did you try boiling water for 15-20 seconds or you could put it in the oven for a few seconds

What thickness did you get the sintra? If its thicker then 1/8'' I think that what i have, you would ever need to boil is like Sand Scout mentioned above. Another thing that help is geting some gloves and bend the sintra but with the other hand using the heat gun, this will prevent the snap. I did this using sintra what was 1/4'' thick

lol , its ok i figured it out , i presume the water wasn't hot enough

Another item that works just as good is wonderflex. It a plastic used by most cosplays to make armor.
