Navy with Thyme pattern. There seems to be a not so visible texture underneath the thyme though.

Purple Twill Polka Dot bow tie.

I assume all are silk and self tie with the exception of Bells of Saint John Tie.

Ah you're right Risu, I've got my Christmas specials all jumbly wumbly. It's what he wore in The Snowmen, although if he wore it again this Christmas it'd be a nice parallel.

These two are my favorites and gets my vote for Indy to make.
We should decide on names for all of them so we know what we are talking about.

The first one is a little hard to name, the design is like a cross between wheat and stars :S
And the second one is generally called the chevron tie, even if it's not really a chevron design at all. (I've seen arrow head used, that's slightly cooler)
Besides that I've seen the one used in cold war being called the black hole tie, and the one in nightmare in silver is the rose one I posted, and I think calling it the rose bowtie is good. And unless the ones in the crimson horror and the name of the doctor are actually new designs that's it.
Basically someone think up a name for the first one

I've been calling the wheat/plant thing tie the "Journey Bowtie" and yes... the "Chevron" is beginning to stick... why not? The "I" bowtie we are currently making will probably be given the default name of "Smith Bowtie"...

It looks like the background fabric of the Journey tie might have an actual pattern woven into it, like an upholstery fabric sort of. And I would say the color of that one is more of a muddy purple, not navy.

The Journey tie looks awfully brown to me, but I can see how Risu is seeing a muddy purple.
I think that one is my top pick.
Yes, looks like a backround pattern BUT could also be a burnout texture. Either way, there is definitely something going on in the background.

I'm wondering how hard this one is going to be to reproduce.

It has a lot of brown in it for sure, but in the majority of the high res images I've got of it it actually looks more purple in studio light than brown.

That does seem to be his dominant color currently.

The theme for 7B seems to be quite consistent, it looks brown with a hint of purple in the episodes, and in all the studio white-expanse shot they've pimped out the colours to a full-blown purple.

Personally, i'd rather have the brown-aubergine colour seen in the episode than the full-blown purple seen in all the flashy promo pictures.

Well, in that picture the bow-tie has actually become a golden orange, which only emphasises the point: the studio pictures aren't really a good colour reference.

Ok, here's the problem with the St. George Tie (I knew something would have to come up since, as we know, DW ties are cursed!!!):

Polyester and silk don't look the same in the same colors. The original tie has a black warp (the main thread that makes up the background of a tie) but, since it's polyester, the black isn't as striking as black silk. So, our silk version turned out darker than the original. Next, I tried using a dark brown warp, but this made the background a lot richer toned than the original. Here are the samples with the original in the middle (these images are on a flat-bed scanner all done at the same time, same settings, etc... so the comparison in colors, etc is accurate):

I'm leaning towards the black warp myself, what do you think?

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Personally I like the one on the right. Brown and blue was the rule for Tennant's ties generally. I think the right looks better of the two, color wise.

Yeah, definitely the right. It's better looking and closer in general. Is the brown used in the revised utopia tie not an option? It seems to register a lot closer

Speaking from asthetics versus cosplay, I love the look of the one on the left, even more then the real poly one. If I had the option of which to buy, I would get it over the brown to wear with my normal suits. The colors really pop on it. Either one you go with, Indy, I'm sure it'll turn out superbly.
