Oooohhh, that looks awesome, Magnoli. I'm definitely interested in the Swirly and Ricci (always one of my favorites). The Tennant era always had such nice ties and you're doing a standup job replicating them.

I just wish he used less brown!

Yep, at the moment, the following DW ties are in the works;

New Swirly Tie
New Giorgio Tie
Ricci Tie
Smith "I" Bowtie

...and I'm about sold out of Hechter Ties, so we're doing another run of those as well. If you need a DW tie for Halloween, order a Hechter tie within the next day or two, otherwise I may be all solde out except for the Utopia Tie.

The pattern was dissimilar to a genuine Lacroix necktie. It has been tweaked to match the actual pattern. Still a nice tie though, :lol

Yea, when I originally drafted the old pattern, we couldn't figure out how to get the color transitions to look right, despite some very tedious and drawn out back and forth. Now that there are pictures of an original tie, we could finally see how the transitions worked, and the new prototype looks fantastic.

So will the actual shape of the tie be slightly different? Cause I noticed that in tennants regeneration, the part of the tie that's showing seems wider than on Magnoli's mk 2 version.

The shape won't be different, but the pattern has moved slightly. Also that might have to do with the way you tie it and how much hangs down.

I have an original and I think out of all the Who ties it's my favourite to wear. Looks killer with a darker blue shirt.

I'm still holding out hope for an Idiots Lantern tie. C'mon guys, you know you want one...

I'm looking forward to the day Magnoli finishes all these fancy, complicated ties and makes the Massimo Dutti tie from Partners in Crime. The photo I took of it is clear enough that it should just be a simple one or two back and forths with the factory to get it rolling. At least one would hope. In the meantime, I plan to make my own. Just as soon as I find a plain brown base tie with a gaberdine/twill weave.
