I've been starting on an NCR ranger costume for a con for next year. This is my first "big" DIY, I've only done a JP security officer costume( http://www.therpf.com/f24/jurassic-park-security-raptor-push-team-194318/ ), and I've built a proton pack for the GB group I'm in. However, I'm not really confident on where to start on this. I'm wanting some advice on pretty much anything if anybody has encountered a problem while building this costume (if you've done this yourself)
I just started on the armor it's going fine so far (I'd still appreciate tips on building the armor) but I have a feeling I'll see problems in making the helmet. I've made a pepakura helmet but it was too small. If pep files are the best way to go what are the steps that need done after the first building process. I was also curious on how they get the helmets lenses to not show your eyes. I've looked into Jay cosplay and I think he said he just uses red film over a clear lens. I also want to build a ranger sequoia but I haven't seen any builds on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
