Ouch. I feel your pain dude. May I offer a truce in light of that? Given our similar interests in props, it would be to everybody's detriment if we continue with a negative view of one another. I bear neither you, or anyone else, any ill will.

Have been looking into the CT sonic and it is a very nice replica, have been reading the CT web site and it is indeed a very hot item to be talking about, so,
My I make a suggestion, that we make a team or an alliance if you will for a lack of a better word.
I will donate my vast 3D inventor drafting skills and workshop to draw the sonic in 3D like I have for the Mk III Baker sonic, but instead of me doing hrs and hrs of research on the 10th doctors sonic, that would take me way to long due to my work load, that we split the research up into section. By doing it that way, you feed me the information and I convert that information in to engineering drawings. “Just an idea”

I really like that idea, that was what mine had originally been (close to it)
So anyone have good screenshots, OR willing to make some measurements on their CT/MFX sonic, OR have one and a CO sonic and will take a picture of one next to the other, so we can find out how smaller the CT/MFX one is so we can scale down the dimensions?

Are you guys talking doing a hobbyist hand machined group build or going the CNC'd mass run route. If you are serious about making one (and not opening an eBay business using 4 months of work I have done :lol) I will share my plans, tool choices, materials/parts list and everything (9th Doctor Sonic) with anyone willing to post progress pics as we go along

Thanks, yeah, due to a collar bone that just won't heal, despite surgery and a year + of convalescence, my right arm is virtually useless, and prevents me running machines. I appreciate the sentiment, and hope to be better soon myself...I have Sonic Screwdrivers to built gorramit! :cool

I'm glad everyone kissed and made up some. The new series sonic itself is a minefield which I sure as hell won't go into...again, and all the various forms of recasting are always an easy trigger to segregate the membership here into Hetfields and McCoys but the big thing that was touched on here is what we at the RPF always need to keep in mind: is a member wanting this info to make one for themselves only, for a short run for themselves and a few others or for mass sale and distribution.
From my experiences with lswl he only makes one for himself just to have. Nothing wrong with that. If I had some details on the new sonic I'd help but my personal fandom with the prop is more geared towards when my inner child was my outer child because I was a child and that would be the 1970's and 1980's.
