My Witcher Costume Thread

So I have decided to go to my first ever comic-con and took me a while to decide what to go as, but I have finally decided on going as the Witcher (Geralt of Rivia) A number of costumes I have wanted to make recently I have been unable to due to funds, but this one will be possible. I will also be making the Triss Merigold costume.

Here are pics of the versions I am thinking, and I will be doing an update on the costume as I make it. Any advice with Medieval type armors like this would be awesome.

I think I am going for the first pictured armor, any idea what kind of armor it is anyone? I think it's a type of leather armor. I may end up making it from scratch but if I can get a base armor and modify it that may work a little better.

Hey PizzyMan, in that first pic the outer armor looks like it's just quilted armor. I would say go with cloth and leather at the edges. Should be much easier than full leather.

it appears to be chainmail with a jacket over it. In the witcher series Geralt always has very light armor or just an armored top for the most part, because he needs to be able to freely move around, and dodge, and cast signs(magic) which is why he uses one handed swords. If you need a place to buy rings for making the chainmail, try ringlord.com.
