Nice, pretty awesome choice, hopefully you build an equally epic flamer as well. As for updating two threads at once, I usually just hit edit on my posts and copy-paste the writing and image code.

Not much to update at the moment still in the resin/fibreglass phase but the helm has 3 Coates of resin inside 2 cotes outside and is 3/4's matted so not far off done but the uk heat at mo is making it difficult 27 - 30 deg
On a brighter note bagged a b&d mouse sander for £20 off eBay
Also made myself a small detail sander from an oralB toothbrush
1p piece, rubber mat & Velcro works a proper treat lol

Well managed to get a bit done tonight bit of sanding and start of some smoothing
Don't worry lots more smoothing to do and god forbid lots more sanding lol

So decided with all the sanding it was time to move this the bodyshop at work with the choice of using da's instead of muscle it was a no brainer lol
2nd skim on vent and rear

Mr L . Damned says you can fill him and rub him any way you please
Well with the helm at work and the sanding & filling, sanding & filling taking it toll these are gonna be the last helm pic's for a while coz I want it to be a good update when it comes into shape
Mmm smoothness
Well decided after cole pointing me in the direction to the pep file for the stalker bolter (fave in game weapon) I didn't want to ruin my first weapon pep so I started with the bolt pistol and experimenting with the build, adding foam to the inside for bulk plus it's lightweight the resin on the outside holes drilled and fill with resin/rondo what empty spaces are left inside
Few more of the bolt pistol now the tape's been removed also needs a couple more details adding to it and need to build the ammo clip.
The amo clip I'm going to add my own touch to before adding it to the pistol so il save that for another update also the clip is going to be fixed as il use the pistol more as a show piece attached to the belt or leg
Can of beer for more of an idea of scale
Handle was filled with the same foam as the body while being built also added in two plastic slats to slot into the two attaching faces and then filled the handle full of resin, handle is very sturdy and more than holds the weight of the pistol body, where the two joining points of the grip attach the the body I've also made two plates out of an old plastic mouse mat so the handle can spread the weight and stop it from buckling
Unsure if I'm going to add the trigger in until I've got to the point of hands/gloves
Sight needs moving over a little but its only pinned on for looks at the mo
It's killing me at the moment at I'm itching to go into my shed and Matt black it but I will restrain myself for now
