Hi! I'm a newbie but I've been lurking around the sight for about a month now picking up tips. Anyway, I've just started my first pred suit, and wanted to show some pics. All I've done so far is the armour, gauntlets and shoulder cannon, so enjoy!
PS sorry about the quality, I took the pics on my phone.

Special thanks to Mumbaki who I got the idea of using pringle tubes for gauntlets and ShockWolf from whom I got the Idea of using a waterpistol for a shoulder cannon.

Ahhh....The Handy-man's helper....Duct tape!!

And now it's the budget costumer's helper, too!!!

All things considered, since you are on a very limited budget, you did a pretty fair job!

Be sure to age and weather the armor a bit more with darker colors in the recessed, layered areas.
Dark colors like brown and black cane be done in "washes"(thinned out paint color) to age the armor and
bring out the details.

As a body-suit, you can go for long johns or a beige turtle neck and sweatpants. Make sure they are snug for a nicer looking fit. Then paint them up with fabric paint from your local craft store.

For the head, go with a bio to start. You could make the bio the same way you made the armor.

Good Luck!

Thanks DangerDavey! Thanks for your advice on the body suit and weathering effects!
I already bought a pred 2 bio off ebay, I'm going to paint it silver/grey though to match my armour. (It should arrive sometime next week!)

Keep pluggin away dude, the more time you spend the more you WANT to spend. lol This is the place for advice and techniques, it's mind numbing !!!

I love pringles!!! Good job there buddy!!!

Your welcome, thats what this lair is all about helping and sharing your pred building experience...

keep up the good work!!!

mumbaki :D

Started working on the suit again. The cardboard wristblades weren't working for me so I put in two toy pirate swords instead. I also started on the crotch armour, bought a skull for the belt and a pair of werewolf gloves for the pred's hands

Oh by the way, I found this jacket in a shop that looks like a pred-ish skin. Will post some pics soon!

Sorry that i haven't posted in a while, camera died and i needed new batteries. Anyway, in the past week I finished my suit, and wore it to a costume contest last and drum role won 1st place! I won some vouchers and a ticket to see a play. So anyway, here are the pics.

These dreads are just wool with duct tape rings stitched on to a hat.
