My Vader Reveal-Rubies Conversion

Here is my attempt at Vader reveal from a Rubies supreme. I am happy with the result, it certainly took me a long time.

I had to perform major resculpt on the mask especially on the droopy cheek, nose bridge, mouth and redid the tubes. If I had any idea how to mold a mask i would have been better off starting from scratch. Athlthough I tried to be accurate with the ROTJ sections, for the mask interior I decided to go the ROTS route and decided to just go for the feel taking a lot of freedom. Aside from the kit bashed parts, pastistuct parts, expanders, lenses, and few linkages; I scratch built the the rest. I purchased the neck brace as I could not have repoduced such a nice piece. The dynodes are form a multipler tube and I belive they are the correct ones. Let me know what you think:

Please ask questions if you have any.
Thank you for looking, Ben

are you SURE that used to be a Rubies, an you didn't really hire a ninja to infiltrate the Skywalker Archives? if so,

Not a Vader-guy, but screen-accurate or not, that looks OUTSTANDING. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Here's something you won't see here ever:

That is a damn fine Rubies right there.
:eek

Really though, barely a rubies left under there. It looks fantastic, you should be proud of your hard work.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

JK1138-I hope you go for it. I can certainly offer some words of wisdom on the convert and probably some extra parts.

If anyone else feels i have the correct dynodes this is the info that came with the tube when I bought it:

That is an AMAZING looking Rubies! Like Joe I also like that you made it a hybrid between the film versions.

Well done!

oh BRILLIANT! Those head vents are perfect and the interior looks stunning! For a build up of a Rubies piece this is one of the best I've ever seen, hands DOWN!

what did you use for the gray tubes in the lower jaw (the vacuum hose looking things)...i really need some of that for mine. incredible mod btw...incredible

Excellent work Ben, don't be shy about posting more pics, I can never get enough of seeing peoples Vader reveals and I love the hybrid idea too, it's what I'm working on. Lower jaw OT, and mask PT. I do like the OT mask interior but it always seems like they ran out of time and left it unfinished, would love to know what could have been.
