Just wanted to show off an item I've been working on, my leg computer with real EL-5804's. I've also done the Type 2 computer using EL-8034's painted to replicate the original EL-3188's which are impossible to find.
It doesn't light up, no electronics. I used vintage Lite Brite pegs that I cut down to simulate the LED's. I did fix that wonky bulb on the end BTW
The original "close enough" EL-8034's...
And after the repaint.
I didn't realize the 1 was sideways on the right calculator until I had it glued back together
Both styles are velcroed to polystyrene sheet that are held in place by the spring clips and can be swapped out easily. I wasn't going for dead on screen accuracy, obviously. I'm in the Blackstar Squadron BSG group and they have a "Ten Foot Rule" (you should be recognizable as a Colonial Warrior from 10 feet away) which I think this falls under.
Thanks for looking
