Looking fantastic Toby, I'll be watching your auctions with great interest.

I was browsing the new section on your site the other day and was very impressed by the shirt on your Sweeney Todd too.

Great work as usual

Glad you guys like them.
Prior to these, I had nearly 0 sculpting experience. But as anything else, I learn quick. I'm always pushing myself to make stuff as perfect as possible.
It took a couple sculpts & molds, but now they are perfecto. ;)
My personal set have aluminum cut blades. Good for me, but not very economic for mass produced razors, with the equipment I've got. But perhaps I'll soon be able to cast the blades in solid aluminum, rather than pewter. :thumbsup

those are things of beauty

a friend of mine is machining the blade for my razor
and i am going to cast the handles from pewter
i hope they turn out half as nice as yours
:)

Thanks guys.
I think I may start an interest thread, over in the junkyard. Just in case anyone is interested.

Excellent! I wonder if it'd be possible to put a real straight razor in one of those handles...hmm...

You probably could, but there is no razor produced, that is the size of the one that's currently in there.
While originally searching for antique blades, I found 2 different sizes. In this pic, the bottom blade is the most common of sizes. The middle one was the largest they come, and that was still way too small for the job.
The blade at the top was my first attempt, and is now even larger that that. Not so much in overall length, but the blade area extends farther back now (as you can tell in the final razor pics).
