My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival : The Godfather

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Zorro

Thank you Gary. I tell you, I spent an hour yesterday looking over it yesterday, and each time I 'discover' something ...a vein on the horse, a pattern, etc etc.

Cheers Andrew .... and that's like asking an indian if he has any arrows :lol

Sword, Mask, Hat, Wanted Poster and Medallion :D

Although I never did manage to find a hat with the pattern :(

:lol I knew it must be in the Prop room somewhere. :thumbsup :D My daughter has never seen Zorro, guess what just went on the Netflix list! ;)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Zorro

Dammit, you got the sword. It constantly eludes me!
Soooo...tell me about the hat!

Oh, and I didn't get in early enough but I intended to jump in when everyone was guessing what was in the box. I was going to ask, "How's your pretty wife"

Is that the line? :lol

If her name was Helena, then it would have been suspicious :lol

Oh the hat, that elusive hat :( I searched high & low for a couple of years for one with the pattern, but came up with nothing.

The sword exists although maybe not so common. The hat, however, has never been replicated for sale and embroidery is not my forte at all :(

If I remember correctly, didn't you have someone do the embroidery on Orion's Belt for you? Maybe if you showed them what the hat is supposed to look like, they might be able to replicate it for you.

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Zorro

Alan...will it ever stop, your collection makes my head explode! Visual overkill:lol

Yep, the Orion name was embroidered. The hat is way more complicated of course and would probably cost an eye & a tooth to do :( .

I may look into it with a local embroiderer some day :)

Thanks Markus :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Kill Bill

Been wondering for a while what to get to 'balance out' my car license plate display 'section', as there has been an empty space for one for ages.

Can't believe I only recently saw this !

P u s s y Wagon (take that, filter :lol) licence plate from Kill Bill :cool

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Turntables

That Rocks Alan! (y)cool Love that LP collection ;)

Apologies for the belated reply bro, this one flew straight by me ....... thanks :) !

And you got it from?!?

.... drumroll ................. ebay :lol !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing in the way of new arrivals per se this time, but a first of many today.

First time filming with my crappy cellphone, first time figuring out after lots of colourful language that unlike a photo, a video has to be saved to the phone after 'stop' is pressed, made a Youtube channel and even uploaded a video. ( Like big friggin woopie-do :lol )

Just because I decided that the prop room could do with something different :D

I bought me a few of those solar-powered small turntables that are used in shop windows for the display of watches etc, and put some props / models on them :lol

The Eternal Gobstopper from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Deep Space Nine Station, the DHD from Stargate, Kali from The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, The Borg Queen from Star Trek, Neytiri from Avatar and the Babylon 5 Model.

So excuse the low resolution, crappy lighting, shaky hand ... and flip-flops in the background. They were too noisy OK :lol

Hopefully, my filming will improve over time :D

Here's a better one ... with a better camera :lol

Love your prop room! I'd love to see a full video tour of it one day!

Thank you :)

I'll post some room videos once I get my hands on a better camera ... or borrow my sons' one if he'll let me :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Turntables

Wow! What a nice touch and a great idea! :thumbsup

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Turntables

Alan,
What a great idea ! It brings them to life !!

Regards,
Gary

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Turntables

Motion in the prop room! :thumbsup The DS9 station looks particularly cool doing the slow rotation, a Death Star would look awesome on one of those. :cool

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Scarface

Many thanks dear friends, your comments are indeed appreciated :)

OK, let's see if folks can get past "Motion Sickness on Land - Part 2 " :lol

I got me an Al Pacino as Scarface figure, and decided to swap the Kali Statue on rotation for something else :D

Here's some pics of the figure

And here he is next to my relocated "The World is Yours" statue, now rotating :D

Motion barf bags are in the pocket in front of your seats, and the background jingle bells and howl is the cat running around the house, not a baby :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Lone Ranger, Stargate Atlantis + SG1

A few items I got over these past few weeks :)

From the 2013 Lone Ranger movie, the Lone Ranger & Tonto action figures, plus a Texas Rangers badge.

While I got the Lone Ranger because they came as a 'set', its a tad 'meh' :lol, but the Tonto is absolutely jaw-dropping and spot-on in every detail.

And finally, cast from an original used in the Stargate SG1 episode "The Light", a replica of the Goa'uld 'remote control', used to activate the 'opium-machine', based on hypnotic light patterns, in the pleasure palace on planet P4X-347.
