This fellow just arrived, much to my delight .

A Horga'hn, which made its first appearance in Star Trek TNG, and a cameo in DS9.

Having the thread about this at the back of my mind regarding the 'do we go for the gold bands or not', I went with 'definitely yes'. Looks way :cool

And on display here

....... till I indoctrinate the Mrs. a little into Star Trek Symbology, so that it can make the occasional appearance here, thus saving me almost going blind from winking at her till she gets the message :lol

As I always say hotfuzz - do I look at it and it screams "Fuel cell !!!" ? Yep. So it's fine with me :thumbsup . For certain props, spot-on accuracy or even size, is the last thing on my mind. I just enjoy everything as much as I can

..... and while going through the room, I can pick it up and light a cigarette too. Now how many practical props like that can there be :lol

Thank you Stormshadow If someone makes it, it will be nowhere as affordable as this. HCG had a great idea, and the price is cool too :cool

Don't worry Thomas, I got the A/C on with air filter running whenever I go in the room. Props are safe, sound and sticky-film free

Continuing with the Space Pirate Captain Harlock replica weapons, I had first gotten me a Gravity Saber. (see Post #524 above, where I have also just added a screen-grab of the Saber for those not so familiar with the character).

Captain Harlock's most famous and familiar weapon, known even to non-followers of the series, is of course the Cosmo Dragoon.

Without delving too deeply into the subject, suffice it to know that in the Matsumoto world, only 4 Cosmo Dragoons were ever made, each with its serial number corresponding to its owner, engraved on the barrel.

I got me the number 1, which is the one that was owned by Toshiro Oyama, Captain Harlock's best friend, designer and builder of the 4 Dragoons, as well as the Arcadia, Captain Harlock's ship. Toshiro Oyama transfered his consciousness into the Arcadia's main computer when he got mortally ill.

'nuff bla bla bla, but I'm so happy I finally have this, and here it is

Like the Gravity Saber, the weathering job on this is simply stunning.

And that completes my Captain Harlock 'section'

A word of advice to anyone reading this. If you have one of these, hang on to it for dear life. They are apparantly VERY rare and are going for totally stupid money on eBay.

Here's a full size Hammond's cane from Jurassic Park, made by Prop-Builder, that I got down to imaging and putting on display.

It was really difficult to try to showcase this work of art as best as I could.

The cane itself is practically flawless in what it represents.

To pay proper tribute to the, ahem, sacrificial insect, that went into the making of this cane, as well as to Prop-Builder's skills of course it goes without saying, I imaged the top of the cane in two ways.

First is the knob against a sheet of paper, put up against a window. That is to highlight the insect.

Further down is an image I took by just holding the cane up and letting the lighting and reflections play havoc on it, in order to show the way Prop-Builder managed to create this truly mesmerising artifact.

The rest of the cane is also just as beautiful, from the way the knuckles look like fossils, to the rubber stopper at the bottom, and, to top it all, the weight of this is great :thumbsup

And I put it in the vicinity of some JP-related items
