My Predator Suit

Hello folks, just wanted to share my build photos of my first Predator suit that I wore at a recent XMAS-TOYCON here in the Philippines.
My son named it SERPENT PREDATOR, it does resembles a serpent in a way so I named it that.

Most patterns I also got here and was so glad to be a member of this awesome community!

I used mostly just rubber sheets on my build, a cheap and sturdy material that is available here...

was so overwhelmed with the vast varieties of plasma canons but went ahead with the one from P2, which would be appropriate for my Serpent Predator suit.

Thats pretty cool, looks more samauri to me but still that is one awesome build. A very unique predator you have created my friend. Nice.

@ Hunter-Hunted: Thanks, yes I was suppose to make it a samurai and my son even suggested me to make a katana with lights of symbols etched on the blade. :D

Andre de Jong: Thanks, yes I made the bio myself out of rubber sheet.

This was my other suit where I experimented on the kind of materials that I'll use. it's not really a predator but human, inspired from Noland's predator suit.
I also made the bio, from a bicycle helmet and used cardboard and epoxy (it was heavy!)

That's a great looking set of armor! I love the skulls too, very creative. The paint up is fantastic.

An Amazing job! I love the fact you built so much of this by yourself using ready materials. You have a great eye for detail! Did you have to heat the plastic sheeting to make it stay in place?

Thanks :D
I used rubber sheets only, wish I had plastic sheets at hand :( . I heated the rubber sheet with just a hairdryer & a disposable lighter to make them stay (curved) in place.

I really like the darkness of the suit. It gives me an AVP3 game feel (not that I've played it) mixed with a Noland. Well done! (y)

As for the plastic, I think you've done so well with the rubber that plastic may not improve your constume.

Thanks folks for all the compliment, I am really glad to take on this projects. It was challenging and a lot of fun, never could have done it though without the various tutorial and tips that I've learned here. all you folks here are AWESOME!

here is a short clip of my hunt at the mall here in the Philippines:

well, going home here and just dancing in the suit...

I wouldent of expected your armor to be rubber sheeted material. It looks very much like a fine gritted plastic. Very 'flawless' might I add. Congrats on the build! It looks fantastic!

I told you Sir that I will be the FIRST one to post some comments when you post your build here on the lair..
BUT DAMN I've became very effing busy during the holidays.. So didn't got the chance to go online...
Well by the way... AT LAST! You've posted your first build here! hahah
.
Thanks for including me in one of the pics XD... Hope to see more of your works here soon...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.. Also God Bless you and your family Sir Gar :)

Rubber sheets? = foamies?
Don't know, since I bought it from a shoe maker shop here and they called it rubber sheet.
Just wanted to answer.. I don't actually know if it is.. But based on my researches, It has the same texture and characteristics..I think the only difference is the size and shape.. Cause here in our country (Philippines) rubber / foamies are bought in rolls and it has different thickness and softness.. On the other country, I think it is bought per sheet or slices and it only has one type right? So yeah, Whatever it is, For me its fun to work with and it is very handy XD
