When I think of watching VTTBOTS,The thing I remember the most was the Flying Sub....flying.It was not until later years I discovered the Lydecker Brothers and the wonderful magic they brought to films and television shows.That put me on a life long love of physical special effects.With the Lydecker Bros.,Dr.Eiji Tsuburaya,Derreck Meddings and others,the magic of the movies and tv shows remain with us.
This is my personal Flying Sub,with all the best features of,the flying 36 inch,with the guide wire holes in the front bulkhead and body,the underwater hero version,with the sunburst shading and mounting holes,and the 16 inch version,with the X headlight cages.Alex

Nice job! You're right, the FX photography in those Irwin Allen shows was frequently terrific. Some of those LIS Jupiter 2 shots of the saucer skimming low over the desert floor of an alien world were amazing. Still are.

great! I agree...some of those miniature shots fro Allen were downright amazing. I was watching LIS last night and those shots still look amazing. They really knew scale.
