My P1 Mask

hi all, just thought i would post a pic of my mask so far, would just like to know what you think?
lee "usurper" made and painted the mask for me, i did the quills myself with lees compound, twice actually as my son pulled a few of them off! lol, eyes from hippie, just have them stuck with velcro at the moment so there probably a bit wonky, dreads and beads from froggy, i need about another 30 but cant just afford it at the moment.
a question for you who know how, i think the dreads are a bit long and i do plan on re doing them, is it a good idea to dip the dreads in black latex to stop them breaking? would they still flex the same? its just that they break very easily, cheers for looking, davy

About dipping the dreads i havent done it, but i saw a video of rhonda doing it

They would stop tearing like mine for sure, but I don't know about dipping them... Maybe lots of coating would do the same job...

If you mix Gloss black acrylic paint with liquid latex and take a sponge and coat them in 2 layers it works very well and you don't get any brush strokes or dripping latex. I did it with mine made them strong and gave them extra flex. Also makes backer rod move with more flex.
