This is coming along nicely. Job well done man!

Are you going with the skull cap bald look or are you taking that in a different direction too?

I'm just going to shave my head bald, seemed the best route for it, get it done a day or so before fan expo so the hair won't grow in to fast.

haha its half dedication and half laziness, a bald cap means I need to get a bald cap, and a makeup kit to blend it in. don't have to do anything if Im just actually bald.

tried the entire thing on one last before painting, need to add some Velcro to some parts and add some fabric to the boots, get a piece of stretchy stuff for the belt.

sorry for the terrible lighting.

painting it all tomorrow!

finally was nice enough to paint today, good old Ontario weather, rains about 3 and a half months out of the summer

got a nice blue base on all the parts, nice silver on the others

still need to do another day of painting to get it all good.

you're pretty ace with foam man, awesome craftsmanship. I'll have to get snuggly with foam if i ever want to escape the tedious process of peps when it comes to armors. I'll def look to this when i come around to building my freeze

The wife and I lived in Mississauga (Port Credit to be exact) for 2 years...We called it MississaSOGGYa from Victoria day to Labour day.

The colour is looking good man. I'm digging that the scheme is starting to look a lot like the Batman Legacy Mr. Freeze. All you need now is to sort out how to make your head detach from your body and...well...also be a black skull with a disjointed jaw. ;)

thanks, I was going for the Batman Beyond color scheme, going to add some yellows, silvers, and reds in there too, time permitting.

as for the head detaching....I was thinking Id get in contact with the guys who did the original "The Thing" Special Fx, they seem to be pretty good at that sort of stuff lol.

I love foam, I tried Peps, did a few star wars helmets and a few anime characters with them but the are soooo tedious and time consuming with the cut cut cut, glue glue glue. Foam is the one thing my town had a ready supply of, and the stuff is great, mix it with contact cement and it will never break on you, the stuff is almost as good as gold.

second day of painting today, did another base coat of blue and then added the silver steel, going to do the rest by hand

snapped a quick pic as I put them in the sun to bake dry

I really love this take on Freeze, I need to get around to making a costume for him, been meaning to for ages.
What did you end up choosing for the dome?

dude this is awesome!!!!

I love that you're building Mr. Freeze, he's sooo under-rated.
i'm currently working on an Arkham City Mr. Freeze suit and ironically enough Bayouwolf, I'm also from mississauga lol

teh weather's put a wrench in my plans as I no longer have space I can use to resin and fiberglass :( I'm stuck waiting until the spring to get back to work.
