I was going to buy the CB pants, a few people have recommended them to me, and I've not heard anything bad until now about them to tell the truth.

What color did you get, any pics,etc.? What size,etc? I can fit in cute little capri pants.

I got the blue size medium and I wear 34 pants. The color is actually pretty nice, not really light like on the auctions. They're very small in the seat though and then the waist is larger than a 34. They don't fit like pants should. Also, they ride lower than a pair of hip hugging skinny jeans. I'm not kidding when I say it's obscene. Without a shirt you'd be able to see everything.

So any recommendations for pants? If nothing in my budget, then what's the lowest priced pants I can get with the correct fit?

Hm, I'm torn between Jas Townsend and Black Bear. Both are about the same price, Jas is custom fit and Black Bear has a better color selection. I'm leaning toward Jas right now, but what would you recommend, that is if you've seen or owned a pair from each place? Are the Jas navy blue pants easy to lighten with rit color remover, or would it be safer to get the natural linen color from BB and dye them slightly darker/bluer?

All my breeches are from Jas Townsend including my wifey's breeches (Pirate Lizzie and Royal Navy Disguise Lizzie). Well made plus you can get them in cotton (cheaper) or linen (more expensive but SA and lightweight, comfy and cool!)

Just be careful when you get set to weather / distress them because if you make a mistake "it be too late to alter course!!!!"

Yea, it looks like the linen breeches at BB are the same price as the cotton ones at Jas. Still though, Jas sounds a little better customer service wise and they're custom fit, so I'll probably go that route. Thanks!

Make sure you ask for tabs on the breeches vs. buttons. Jack had a tab at the knees with four buttons. They can make that change for you.

Yea, from the two threads on KttC that I read through it looked like it's a good idea to specially request them a couple inches longer too so they don't come out of the boots, right?

Well, I got a partial refund from costumebase and don't have to return the items, so I'll be letting them go in the junkyard at a fair price once I take some pictures.

I also called Jas Townsend and subsequently placed my order for a pair of the canvas breeches, then went to Jo-Ann's and got that ticking material. Next stop is ebay, then I'm pretty much done with my search. Big thanks to those of you who helped me out. I'll post some pictures once I get everything together.
