Here are a few pics of my new Spiderman bust sculpted by Howard Senft and painted by Peter Murphy. I was lucky enough to get the last Spiderman bust before Howard destroyed that mould. What can I say about Peter Murphy, just a brilliant artist..Anyway, I figured some people may enjoy these pics..This is my first post here and I am loving this site

WOW WOW WOW:eek:eek:eek:eek:eek

Thats one outstanding paintjob, incedible job man:thumbsup I am stunned:eek

I painted one of Howard Spiderman busts years ago, and I remeber one thing, that the pattern all over his body was a pain in the butt.:lol

Congratualtions man to a wonderful sculpt and a great paintjob:thumbsup

That is THE BEST spiderman paint up I've ever seen. How did he do the brick pattern in the suit. I always avoided painting this one up for clients only for the fact I had no idea how to do that part. That is stunning man, even the base is incredible. WOW WOW WOW is all I have to say!

For your first post, this an absolutely superb show-off. The Howard S sculpt is great and the Peter M paintjob really makes it shine. WOW! :thumbsup

Very Nice piece. I painted one of these awhile back .The brick pattern is not to hard once you make a templete. Then hold it against the piece and airbrush your squares ,At least thats how I did mine and it came out nice. Except I did mine in the black suit.

I bet you were grinning ear to ear when you got that. It looks stunning. I understand the template, but it seems like the silver webbing would get in the way big time and how do you keep the pattern consistent between each block of web?

Thanks for all the kind words guys...Peter said he painted the whole thing red...then laid a mesh material over and came back and painted a darker red over that. The he went in and did the silver webbing....I love Peter's paintup obviously but Howard's sculpt is nothing short of superb as well

wow what a difference, milimeters closer....such a big deal. :rolleyes
and there's more than one spiderman costume, and the fact that it's a cgi character during a big part of the movie.
