Hello all! Like most people I know who have seen the show, I became enthralled with the Netflix Original Series, Marvel's Daredevil. I binge watched the entire series and burned through it pretty quickly. Daredevil has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters, and I really thought that the show was done rather well. I enjoyed the fact that it was approached as a crime drama first, superhero/vigilante show second.
The more I watched the show, the more I fell in love with Murdock's black "ninja" suit. The show was clearly inspired by Frank Miller's 1993 "Man Without Fear" storyline, and I loved how they translated the costume. It didn't take long for me to decide that I wanted to put together the costume. Thanks to lukester and others over on The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread, I was able to slowly piece together a fairly accurate costume over the course of a few weeks.
I did run into a few difficulties, however. The 100% accurate shirt and pads eluded me, as the company that produced them changed their product designs without changing any product numbers and the like. I was also unable to procure some of the screen accurate pieces due to funds. I believe I made it work though, personally. Last weekend, I attended a con in Bethlehem, PA called Saikoucon, and one of the local photographers offered to do a photoshoot with me. So, without further ado, here is my Netflix Daredevil costume!
