I seem to have a problem where the only decent things I can make out of junk/found pars are sonic screwdrivers. So far I have made seven and here they are:
V1
Don't be scarred away, this is my first sonic screwdriver ever and I believe it's my first prop ever. They DO get better
V2
You might recognize this from that custom sonic competition a while back. If not, then that's cool... I guess... I didn't need feelings
This one is so far my favorite. So much so that I keep it in a display case with my Doctor Who stuff. (The other screwdrivers I've made are in a little wooden chest).
V3
I made this one for my sister's 9th birthday. It's like a starter sonic screwdriver. Not much else to really say about this one to be honest.
V4
This one was made with the idea that the doctor is trapped in the past with only what he has in his pocket (minus the sonic screwdriver). So he has to make do with what he has and create a temporary sonic screwdriver. I don't know why he'd have a spark plug in his pocket but not a sonic screwdriver but yeah.
V5
This is a tiny one. For when you need just a little bit of sonic (pun intended). This one isn't my favorite, I feel like I kinda was just forcing an idea out and slapping parts together. BUT I still do like it, it's neat
V6
VERY simple and sleek design. It would be cool if the emitter was smaller, but Again, I still like it. The other side of the emitter has a large lens in it which would be like the readout screen.
V7
This has to be my second favorite. It combines the classic and the 9th&10th doctor's by compressing with a slider and a gem inside the halo emitter. I did go out and buy leather for this one though, so it's like 99% found parts.
P.A.S.E.T
What I came up with when I was experimenting with molding and casting. It's a cast of my V2 just painted up to look post apocalyptic (Post Apocalyptic Sound Emitting Tool)
SO! those are the screwdrivers. I've been meaning to post them here for some time now but have never gotten to it. This is me finally getting to it
enjoy!!
