My Indy Gear...

After months of being a member over at COW, I have finally been able to gather enough gear to take some decent pictures.
My intent was to get just enough gear in time for my Disney Orlando vacation in March, where I will attempt to wear the gear inside the Hollywood Studios park without getting asked to leave:$
Since my budget would not allow me to get ALL the gear in time for my trip (and I would not have been able to enter the park with the whip anyway) so far, my gear is missing the Whip, Gun, Weapons belt and Holster and the Jacket - though I am currently using a 'stand-in' leather jacket until I buy a proper Indy Raiders jacket.
In these pictures I am wearing:
Fedora: Adventurebilt 'Henry'
Shirt: Adventurebilt
Bag Strap: Wade Egan Raiders Deluxe
Bag: Original MKVII from What Price Glory
Web belt and Boots: Todd's Costumes
Pants: LL Bean
More gear to come in future months, but for now, this is how I will look for my Disney adventure:

Looks great. I'd recommend sliding your buckle down a few inches though to get the bag a little lower.

Also, I think you could pull off a good Mal from Firefly.

:lol Thought the same thing, or a Noah Wyle ( Flynn Carsen ) from The Librarian.. Nice costume.. You need to Idol in your arms..

I had my girl taking the pics and was too distracted with giving her a crash course in photography for me to notice the buckle was positioned wrong - shame on me because that is one of the nitpick things I learned over at COW.
Don't know what Fierfly is. Share pics!

This may be a dumb question, but why do you want to wear all your gear to Hollywood Studios Park?

Why not?
It's a movie themed park that has an Indiana Jones attraction - what better place to where my gear (so long as park security does not ask me to change since I may be confused as an employee of the park)
A lot of gearheads have done it and it sounds like a fun thing to do - the Fanboy thing to do.
Some people think it's silly to dressin 'costume' in public, others are down to do it themselves. Look around, I'm not the only one.

I didn't mean my question in any kind of mean spirit. I'm a gearhead too...and I'm a professional Santa Claus...so I know all about dressing in costume in public! Sounds like fun to me!

No problem - even some gearheads think it's silly to wear thier gear at the theme park, but many have done it and I can't wait to be in that environment, in gear - and really feel the 'spirit' of the whole thing, you know?

NEVER get old of folks showing off their gear. You pull it off so well I can overlook the buckle position and the jacket ( I DO like the jacket. What kind is it?)

My bag strap is not an adjustable version - the lenth it is is what you get. The buckle moves, but does not adjust strap length. If you notice in the picture, my bag is tilted a little forward. If it were hanging completely straight it will look to be in the appropriate position (right below the waist).
I hope I got that right because there was a mix up with my order from wade and I got the worng size (too long) which I cut down to fit me myself instead of sending it back - so I hope it's SA or I'm screwed!
The jacket was bought a few years back at JC Penny for $70.
You want it? $50 and it's yours.

hey now. I think I did pretty darn good for a amateur. Poop head

Congrads man! I just about finished my gear hunt, I really appreciate all your advice. Its nice to see everything come together!

I love that adventurebilt hat. It's become my every day wear hat, which has caused me to stop wearing my leather jacket and khaki shirts for fear of being taken as dressing in costume.

Thanks for the compliments.
I wish I could post what happened with me and Sunshine Dust today while I was in my costume...:$

Mine was roughly $1450 when you don't count the close enoughs I went through before making it perfect. If you wanted to get all the same stuff now though it would cost you $1950. And I got the cheapest Indy style whip on the market.

EDIT: If you can tell me who made each part of the costume you're looking at or send me a picture I can tell you if it's worth the money. The cheapest complete Indy costume would cost you about $400, if it was all from Indy vendors, less if it's just a plain safari shirt, etc.
