My hybrid Hugh Jackman Avenger Wolverine (UPDATE 3/12)

Exactly as the title says...Thought it'd be fun to have made a Wolverine suit made had Marvel ever had Hugh Jackman in an Avengers sequel which will never. I chose to have the Ultimate suit done because since the yellow one would be a little childish. It's still in the early stages but I'll have this finished by October. It's being built in diamond textured black neoprene with marigold tiger stripes overlaid on top of the shoulders. I thought about getting a cowl made but don't know if it'd look right...Also stuck on the belt part, thought about going the utility belt with pockets on the side route but didn't want to look totally like Batman...If anybody could send me a great looking Ultimate wolverine looking boot, I'd appreciate it Input is more than welcome.

I may have, this is my first build ever so I didn't know where to put it :l ....I've also decided to get Reevz newest cowl. I think it'd be a nice newer look to Wolvie that we haven't seen before; crossing aspects of the Ultimate with the classic.

This image is what inspired me to take this project up btw B)

great idea, been thinking of doing something like this for a few weeks and you beat me to it lol best of luck and i cant wait to see how you go about making it,

now im off to think of a different wolverine idea lol (thinking of the old orange and black one but with a sub dye amazing spider man style thing going on)

Get the suit, add a jacket over it for warmth, and you have me entirely...Great idea Bub..Be good to see this one come together...

So just ordered the cowl today, it looks like this when worn, I think it'll be a nice addition to the suit.

I wanted Jackman to have this costume so bad. Maybe something will show up in the Wolverine or Days of future past. Both movies I am afraid will suck.

Classic wolvie always brings a smile to my face and that cowl nails it spot on. The grimace is perfect and the ears are sized amazingly. Just needs a cigar.

Anybody have experience with dying fabric or anything? I'd like to make this belt the gold color I have above.

Well from my experience if you just get the olive drab belt and bleach it you will get that gold-ish color from it. I'm using it for my Arkham Robin build.

If you're gonna make this suit credible I think instead of getting a sub dyed spandex suit you should get black leather jeans and a custom PVC vest. Love the mask

Viper do a good security belt in black, tann and olive. If bleaching it doesn't work 100% I'd suggest fabric painting it by hand.

Found this at motorcycleleathergearusa.com it looks like it was designed for wolverine, a few leathe arrowheads/slashes on the shoulders, an X-Men enamel badge on the collar and it'd look so cool. Or...

It's a life jacket and looks very figure hugging/sculted and modern, the buckles accross the front make it look slightly military, work out how to remove the logo from the back and side and it'll look great (and you'll float!).

You may have noticed that this thread has really caught my imagination, I'm a big wolverine fan and would love to have a stab at doing a James Howlett costume once I've finished all the other projects I'm working on.

cut the fingers off these gloves and saw a gap in each brow on the carbon fibre knuckles for the claws to fit though and these would look awesome.

You'd need to black out the logos but that would be simple enough and there are loads of second hand biker boots on ebay if you want to save cash.
If you went with the bike style vest these boots below would match nicely.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I've got everything laid out except for the boots and gloves. I was planning on doing a motorcycle glove gauntlet like you posted however, I like the ribbed thing across the knuckles that the 89 bat suit has, thought that style would look good. And for the boots, I'm going with The Avenger Capt. America look as far as the boot covers and buckles on it look.
