My Green Lantern Movie ring by Bimmer

Again, thank you everyone for the kind words. This project has been a long time coming so i'm very glad it has paid off and come out so well. I must admit that i cannot take full credit for how this ring has turned out. I've worked in close collaboration with my good friend Christoph over at Batjeepster Rings (on Facebook, or Customized Hero on this board) and we tweaked the design until we got it to what it is now.

If you are a Green Lantern or just comic book fan in general, you'd love some of the stuff he's putting out and should definitely become a fan of his page to see the latest and greatest Batjeepster Rings.

This ring will be made available through the fan page in resin, stainless and silver bands. I will be doing the stainless versions while Christoph will be doing the resin and silver versions.

If you have any questions please message me or Christoph on his page.

I was able to get some more work done tonight on some of the other rings. I have 4 total that i ordered so thats what i'm working with.

Here are 3 of them. 1 finished, 2 still needed glass gems

Wow looks really awesome!! Really great job!

Thank you! its been a long time coming, its really nice to see things turn out so well that have had so much time invested

Looks great Bimmer. I really like the texture on the band. Is it silver?

Actually the band is stainless. :)

Nice job!

Thank you. That means a lot coming from you!

sweet - what did you use to cast the ring or is it pre-made?

The metal is stainless and the gem piece is is a transparent resin tinted green

This looks great.:thumbsup
Are you planning to darken the band a bit like on your previous version ?

Good question :)

I used a black oxidizing method on the band to achieve the weathering. Its permanent and not a paint or anything. i'm really pleased with it

Not the greatest pictures, but these are taken during the day with the sunlight coming through my window

This is amazing.:eek
Great work Ian, you achieved, wich is probably the most possibly accurate replica of the movie ring.

How did you made the resin top looking clearer than in your previous pics ?

Thank you! The previous pictures didn't have clear coat on the top. It makes a world of difference and really gives it that "finished" look
