My Ghostbuster costume, in progress

Here is everything I have so far.

Well, here is basically what I have so far.

The first picture is of my pack. It's a old photo work in progress photo from years ago, so keep that in mind. I am redoing it. I'll post new photos soon.

Here is a old photo of my trap as well. I am currently improving this and strengthening it.

It's made of cardboard and styrene.

Here is the gun I've built in the past week or so. It's not perfect but I'm not worrying about that too much. I will add to the clippard to make it more accurate.

I added the N-filter to the pack. Used a pringles can and covered it in a sheet of Lamination Paper. Then I sanded that down and painted it black. I'd like to add a nice weld look to the top. I know it's not 100% accurate but it works for now.

Also here are a few photos of my improved Ghost trap. (Work in progress) It's still made of cardboard and plastic and isn't super accurate but it'll look good.

Also a question:

On the front handle... is it seperated near the entry point into the main gunbox? What I mean do the real guns have a point where its silver there that drops down, and then back up like this ? -_- with the lower part being silver?

Thanks

Nice lookin' pack! Gun and trap look good too!

To answer your question, yes, their IS a recessed joiner peice on the front handle. It's basically what the front tube rotates on. Keep us posted!

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you use a screen accurate R-701 valve? Are you planning to light this thing? If you get exorays kit it comes with a "drop in" led bar light, so you wouldn't need the frame around the window cut out.

I don't want to come off as bashing or anything just throwing things out there before you cross the point of no return. I'm on my second one of these because of making simple mistakes.

No problem! I don't mind at all. I just have that one on there because it's the closest thing to accurate that I have at the moment. It was given to me by a friend years back. I'd like to get some more accurate ones, possibly even resin ones if they are more affordable than the real thing.

I'm also planning to get Exoray's light kit too :) I didn't know I wouldn't need the frame around the window for it. Thanks!

How does this look? :)

I realize that the gun isn't super clean and doesn't look manufactured, but I like it. I really do. I will probably end up building a better pack after Halloween though. I'm working toward getting this one done for Halloween. So I am building as much of it as possible instead of purchasing parts.

I'd like to have at least 2 packs anyway and two suits as well incase anyone I know wants to suit up sometime. My brothers would probably be up for it. Ha ha

Thank you :)

Well I got a flightsuit today. It's a bit big though unfortunately.

I tried on an XL but it was way too snug in the rear and crotch and the sleeves were too short. So I went with a XXL but unfortunately the zipper pockets seem way too low though everything else fits decently.

I'm not sure what to do about that. Does it look that bad?

Here are some test photos. The pack straps and frame are my own homemade deal I made years ago. I'll be getting a alice pack with proper straps soon. I also need to trim down the elbow pad elastic right?

The boots aren't 100% accurate but they are comfortable and look good and were only 25 dollars, on sale from 50.00.

The belt needs dyed too.

What do you think?

And a litle bit of dye!
I really like the look of how the suit hangs. Nice job!
As for the elbow pads, you can cut OR tuck, depending on their fit.
Keep it up!

What are you on vacation or something?! I DEMAND AN UPDATE!

JK :lol

If you haven't done so, I would lay out your knobs and everything on the gun body now, that's how I found out mine was too short early on so I didnt mind starting over *too* much
