My First True Tricorn Commission

1. Used 2 ounce leather so it is much lighter in weight.

2. Modified the design so that it is true to size as the movie. Curse Of The Black Pearl size which is much larger than the Dead Man's Chest / At World's End version.

3. Lighter color dye which is now water-based due to certain changes in California law regarding alcohol-based dyes.

All photos are taken without flash indoors and at night so the color is not true to the original item.

I have offered them here about 6 months ago and only had a nibble (can you guess who?)

If people are really interested I need to get a head count and stock up on leather. I have some new techniques up my sleeve and will be working on my own personal third tricorn to get the techinques down before I experiment................use them on other tricorns.

It involves using a hat press for the bowl! I also have another hat press for a fedora and can you guess which one that one will become?????:love

Oh, Dear Lord.... another hat press for a Fedora? I can just SEE my savings flying to you..... Do you plan to make a different Fedora, more wide-brimmed, such as the Shadow´s?
