Just finished the clear. Looks like glass. Need to give it a buff to get out any imperfections in my crappy clearing job. Wish people would reply on this to know it is more then just me who likes this.
And the picture is the one I'd like to build next but not sure how to start.
Love these pictures looks like a chrome mask coated in blood. Just the way I imagined it.

Wow, you did that your first time with pepakura? That's very impressive and well done! Any other progress pictures?

Here is when I just had it glued. Then the resin coated mask, next the bondo, the black coat and then pics of the candy coat. The bottom left of the mask is lifting the only issue I had. Thanks so much for the comments.

Wow! That's incredible, my first pep build was an epic fail :lol
Definitely my favorite red hood lid from what I've seen. Is it your pep file?

Kickass work man. Amazing job for your first pep project.

Did you have to cut the back off to get your head in?

Also where did you get the file from?

It is the BlackKaos file I bought it from him great file. Told him I had a large head so he sent the large size. Fits perfect was so scared of that.

the step by step for me was as follows.
1-read as much as I can on what to do and use.
2-buy the file
3-cut out file
4-crazy glue the mask up
5-three layers of resin on the outside
6-fiberglass the inside
7-about twenty thin coats of bondo hand sanding each one to keep the shape
8-spot putty
9-three heavy coats of primer sealer with a light sand
10-three coats of black
11-three coats of clear
12-a couple coats of mirra chrome from alsa then wipe with a soft cloth to a mirror finish
13-House of Kolor intercoat clear
14-a lot of layers of HOK candy apple red and candy wine
15-four or five layers of clear
16-polish out fine imperfections( will be a bit to learn)
17-buff and put in the display
Thanks to tons of people on this site for all the info.
Everyone was so happy to give tips.
And special thanks to BlackKoas for the file, what a great base to start from at an awesome price.

Started on the upper body armor. just put tape on my body and blocked in my torso then drew the armor the way I wanted it cut it out. Then cut it out of crafting foam sheets and doubled it up. Not sure if it would be better to hot glue them to a stretchy workout shirt or use braided elastics to bind it together. Please anybody help the way for best results. And how do I sculpt the foam to round corners. Plan to coat with white glue and paint. But need help on how to sculpt first.

Thanks Al and Animefan for the kind words. Ya Al not sure if it's great step by step but it worked for me and will change as I learn more.

They are spot on. The only difference I made was only applying one coat of resin and a thicker then normal layer of bondo. In retrospect I wish I would have followed your steps.

I am sticking this man. Looks excellent. Tried something of the same for Halloween, didn't turn out as well. I used Duct tape and cardboard, didn't cut the mustard. kudos to a great build though, looking forward to the rest of it.

Is there a way to sand the edges to round the abs on top or use a wood burning kit to melt it to shape. Then add the thinned white glue.
