My first pep project completed!

Hi All,

Recently a friend of mine introduced me to prop making. He showed me this program called pepakura. I still have not decided if I hate him or not yet as I am so busy making stuff now. I have about 20 projects started and waiting for me to put more time into it. But anyway, my son loves the predator so I made a bio mask for him to hang on the wall. This is the first project that I have actually completed. My son Logan was very happy with the turn out. My friend is still the Master builder and I but the apprentice but he insisted that I post it here. So I uploaded pics of the pep and the completed for your review. I also put up some pics of the stormtrooper pep that I started and will be focusing on next. I will start a new thread dedicated to it later so this will be a preview. So knowing this is my first post and project...let me have it.

Good job!

The Stormtrooper is looking particularly impressive, I look forward to the progress thread on that one.

:thumbsup

I don't think pepekura has been getting the respect it deserves, this is hard work! Great job!

The storm trooper one looks fantastic, I've attempted the bucket before myself and it is an absolute pain. Are those Dung0beetle's files?

Good start so far. I am building the same Stormtrooper files and have a WIP here as well. Having completed some of the armor already I have to say, you have a lot of sanding and bondo work to do to get that smooth surface. Also, just curious how high did you scale your helmet, it seems a little large? I have mine set around 11.4(in)

I have started over several times due to the sizing. I could not tell you the height because i scaled it using the printer and not the pepakura. I dont have designer. It is alot of work to be sure. I would honestly say that if I really didnt enjoy the work and didnt have the time it would not be worth it, but I do on both accounts. I am ok with the size as I am making it to fit me. I guess I have a really lagre head.

Thanks for all your kind responses. It is a great deal of work but I like it and have the time. Believe me if I had the money to drop I probably would have by now. In the meantime I hope to improve my pep and bondo skills more.
